What are bollards?

To put it simply, a bollard is a structure designed to protect other structures, (pause) other structure typical being buildings or other infrastructures.

Bollards are placed in front of buildings to create a barrier so a building is untouchable to vehicles such as cars or trucks.

A truck hitting a building can cause lots of harm and damage. In the unfortunate event a car crashes in, the bollard stops the car from getting to the building.

Think of these bollards as a safety net. Bollards are a post that you see outside of a building, sometimes decorative, that have great power if the unfortunate happens.
