When working with electronics and high voltage you need to make sure your matting is safe and up to code. Today I will share everything you need to know about electronics matting.

A Plus Warehouse supplies ESD matting for your high voltage work environments. You will see ESD matting around switch gear and motor control centers. We offer diamond deck switch board matting and military switchboard deck plate runners.  Our diamond deck is formulated to provide insulation to workers from being grounded, in turn making electrical shock far less likely. These mats are required in front of high voltage, fuse boxes, and transformers. Each square foot of mat is tested and exceeds American National Standards institute known as ansi, and American Society for Testing and Materials. The material is made of type 2 compound polyvinyl chloride. The maximum recommended voltage is 17,000 volts when working on the mat.

Then we have our switch board mat. This is specifically designed for the military. It is tested for sulfuric immersion, oxygen bomb aging, and UV light exposure. In addition, the mat is both flame and slip resistant.

We also offer mats for welders. Our welding mats are spark and flame resistant. When welding, sparks can burn holes on surfaces and floors, igniting a fire if you’re not careful.
